Trailhead Location: The trail begins at the Coliseum Mountain Trail Staging Area in the Nordegg North subdivision. From Highway 11, turn onto Shunda Creek Road, continue onto Baldy Mountain Road, then right onto Eagle Drive. The parking lot is at the end of Eagle Drive and includes restrooms.

Initial Ascent: Start with a creek crossing, then follow well-marked switchbacks through a forested area. This section is a steady climb but manageable due to the switchbacks.
Mid-Trail Ridge: After approximately 4 km, the trail levels out, offering views of Nordegg and Abraham Lake. You'll traverse a scree slope and continue along a ridge with expansive vistas.
Summit Approach: The final ascent involves a short climb to the "cap" of Coliseum Mountain, where you'll find remnants of a historic fire lookout and enjoy 360-degree views.
